WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF MILESTONE

Milestone is a community of 682 people located 30 minutes(50 km) from Regina and 35 minutes(55 km) from Weyburn. Perfect for commuters who want to be near the city and have the slow pace of small-town living. It is a vibrant rural community that has managed to survive and thrive.

Milestone is a highly peaceful town where children can walk unattended to the swimming pool, friend’s house or corner store. It is also a safe and friendly town where volunteers come together regularly to take on projects such as holding barbecues to raise money for different services.

Milestone’s ambulance service provides emergency medical service to the Town and surrounding areas. We have a seniors complex with an assisted living program to assist residents with day trips, organize events, and organize trips to the city for shopping or doctor’s appointments. Many young families in Milestone have helped keep our school population at the 200 mark for grades K to 12. These families keep their kids extremely active in programs from skating, hockey, swimming, baseball, volleyball, and curling. There are also a whole host of extracurricular programs like piano, drama, dance, etc. that Milestone’s residents can now be involved in year-round.

The seniors in this community are incredibly active, with numerous things happening, like dancing, travel, health and fitness, and bingo. Don’t forget the wild card games at the Local Drop-in Centre. Many more events are regularly offered at the local Senior Citizen’s Centre (Carrington Court) or the Local Drop-in Centre.

Long Creek Golf and Country Club is a widely renowned golf course within easy driving distance, approximately 30 minutes from Milestone, just outside the Town of Avonlea. We are lucky to be near the Dunnet Regional Park, located just outside Avonlea, about a ½ hour’s drive, and it offers beautiful amenities and a wide range of recreation possibilities.

Milestone has a thriving business community, including agriculture-related industries like fuel, fertilizer, and chemical companies. In addition, the downtown area is busy with a grocery store, a bank, a restaurant, a regional public library and several other service-oriented businesses.

So whether it’s just for a visit or perhaps to check out a new place to live, we welcome you to Milestone.
